About The Master in Physics Degree Program

The programme is a 2-year Masters course of 120 ECTS starting every month of September.

The first year consists of lectures, seminars, and laboratory classes, whereas the complete second year is exclusively spend on your research project.

The number at the end of every module line in the ECTS column corresponds to the minimum number of ECTS required for each module. Chosen optional courses must meet this minimum number of ECTS.

Students registering at Luxembourg Universities do not have to pay tuition fees

Admission Requirement for The Master Degree in Physics 

Before sending your admission request, please make sure that you:

  • have a Bachelors degree in physics or a related subject;
  • have successfully attended a course in quantum mechanics;
  • are interested in physics and up-to-date research;
  • want to know how things work and how the world functions;
  • are curious and committed.

If you hold a degree from a non-European Union (EU) university, you are also requested to take the following exams before sending your admission request:

  • the GRE physics exam, Designated Institution (DI) Code for the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE): 3740;
  • a TOEFL test if English is not your native language.

Selection

A maximum of 30 students is selected each year via an admission procedure.
