Dirilis Ertugrul
Diriliş Ertugrul or The Rise of the Ertugrul is a Turkish historical fiction television series. There are two versions of the television series: one from 1985–1988 and one from 2010. The first version of the series involved many names that were almost impossible for an average Turk to reproduce, as well as concepts and places unfamiliar to them, hence the remake was necessary in order to connect to the audience more effectively. It broadcast on Show TV since May 2, 2010 with a percentage rating of 41.6% after the first year.[2]

Diriliş: Ertuğrul (English: “Resurrection: Ertugrul”) is a Turkish historical fiction and adventure television series created by Mehmet Bozdağ, starring Engin Altan Düzyatan in the namesake leading role. It is filmed in Riva, a village in Beykoz, Turkey, and premiered on TRT 1 in Turkey on December 10, 2014. The show is based on the history of the Muslim Oghuz Turks and takes place in the 13th century. It centers around the life of Ertuğrul, the father of Osman I, who was the founder of the Ottoman Empire.
